There is a username box and a password box. In the username box my name appears, but as i said earlier this is not my apple username.

You can replace the name in the panel by typing in a different user account name. It needs to be name of an account of a user who has administrator privileges. Enter the name of the user account you use when you want to install software.

Pick one of the account names you are seeing in the System Preferences 'Users & Groups' that are listed as 'Admin' and use the password you set when you created your account.

I didn't see any action until I tried to open a project, but the download took about 45 minutes in Sydney.7 you'll be asked for you admin password & the installer should run.
